Tuesday, October 26th, 2021: The last pitch has been thrown, and the last out has been made. All the cheers have subsided. The baseball season is over for the fans, but for the FOOL-X decision-makers, it is just starting again. The season never really ends for general managers, who start their "second season" today. The front office staff is working overtime analyzing hirings and firings and planning out a strategy that will get their team to the championship next season.

 | Waikiki Beach Boys Take FOOL Classic
Sunday, October 24th, 2021: "This is why we play the game," commented Waikiki's manager after his club captured their 4th FOOL Classic crown by whipping the St Cloud Raindrops 5-3 today at Fog Bowl.
"Baseball don't get any better than this."
The Beach Boys were victorious 5-3 in the series after completing the regular season 99-63 and finishing in first place in the Republic League.
The losing manager had his say, too, telling reporters, "Despite the loss, this year has been a pretty good story, a doggone good story. I'm proud of my guys. We had great veteran leadership and we had players that never gave up -- no quit in us at all. And it got us here. And I'm proud of that. I think you might see the Raindrops back here soon." |
