It will also show that designated hitter Michael Ednams went 3-for-7 for the Winged Lingerines. It will not show, however, that Ednams reached the 2000-hit mark for his career. The 32-year-old Ednams reflected on the achievement after the game. He mused: "In one respect, it's a real milestone, I guess. Yet, it's just a base hit like any other base hit." Ednams's career batting average is .320. In 1675 games, he has gotten 2001 hits, 209 home runs, 1132 RBIs and scored 948 runs. |
