Felipe Palmeiro had a huge game today at Ballpark of Boston. He rapped 5 hits in 5 tries and helped the Baltimore Charm overcome the Boston Settlers 8-3.
F. Palmeiro singled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
On the season, Palmeiro is batting .299 with 23 home runs and 113 RBIs. He has played in 157 games. |

Carlos Correa took home the Continental League Pitcher of the Month honors in September. After all these years playing ball, the 35-year-old veteran still enjoys the game as though he'd just broken camp for the first time a month ago. He's a bit older now with a few more aches and pains, but the old man has reason to celebrate, having gone 5-0 for Baltimore last month and claiming the Pitcher of the Month award.
He tacked up a 1.33 ERA in his 6 starts, tossing 40.2 innings and striking out 11.
In 2055 Correa has compiled a 17-8 mark with a 2.97 ERA in 36 starts. |

Leroy Winter has been the model of consistency over the past month and has been a tough out, claiming the Continental League Batter of the Month trophy for September.
The Baltimore second baseman hit .384 with 7 home runs, 16 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He was also walked 14 times and posted a .500 on-base percentage.
This year Winter is batting .345 with 45 home runs and 111 RBIs. |
